Computer graphics was in it's infancy, equipment was expensive and,
although the equipment was fast it was still bulky and required much service.
This first system was operated by the Company as a drafting service and
produced drawings for most of the well known Architectural and Engineering
firms in British Columbia as well as for the Provincial Government.
There was also a tie-in with Boeing in Seattle to allow transfer of drawings
from their facilty to Canadian Pacific Airlines Maintenance facility in
Vancouver. Initial cost of the equipment shown below was $170,000 which,
at that time, was considered inexpensive.
